Bodily Paradise

Bodily Paradise poem

Deep blue fades as salty breeze drifts in
transparent waves washing the shore
cooling bare skin down the coast.
Palms sway, shading sleepy hammocks
with slender occupants reclining, resting, relaxing.
Voyagers to island paradise observed.
          Envied.

Sandy digits wiggle in appreciation of familiar friends
long avoided, never forgotten.
Droplets descend curves, formerly frowned and drowned
in fabric, distress, red face.
Sun glistens on pale damp skin
unveiled, uncovered. Undaunted.
          Free at last.
