Endure and Survive

Sullen, damaged
a sheer gray lens
yet bright
a sting to the eye
A web
binding
squeezing
sticking
Inhale
shallow
tight
insufficient
Daylight, night
blends
admonishes
shatters
No rest
No difference
A tick-tock
but what is time?
Dogged, steadfast
a silent plea
yet faithful
a weapon in the fight
