Just for Fun: Bold and Pungent Day

Need a quick creative boost? That’s what these prompts are for! Send your brain into overdrive with today’s Short and Silly: a celebration of Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day.

Topic: Cook Something Bold and Pungent Day

Goal: Describe five bold and intense meals.

Bonus: They should all be made-up combinations using at least one item that is not normally a food.

Here are a few I came up with:

  1. Lunch: A vinegar and zoysia grass sandwich on wheat, with a light dusting of yellow pollen seasoning.
  2. Dinner: Fried sour mulch and crushed dead horse arum lily patties with a buttermilk glaze.
  3. Afternoon Snack: Mint and lemon pepper red clay tea with an acorn and maple bark cookie.

Don’t be afraid to be outlandish. Who knows when you’ll write something the needs such a thought-stretcher? Share your response to today’s bold and pungent writing prompt in the comments or tag me on Twitter!
